it always bothers me how pop culture portrays romeo and juliet as the ultimate love story—people seem to neglect the fact that at the end, they kill themselves. romeo and juliet isn’t a happy ending, and this is the only song that i’ve heard with references to romeo and juliet that reflects that.
also, i just adore the killers.
