so, um, i think william is the coolest…

a couple of days ago, anna asked me if she could come over today around 3 and work on some econ problems. i said sure, and so today she came over with her econ problems and review book. as soon as she was in the door, she told me she wanted to show me a cute video, so i went and got my computer. she emailed me the link, and it started playing the alex goot cover of “call me maybe,” with some titles over it saying things like “i’ll bet you’re wondering who made this” and stuff like that. at the end, it had a phone number and said, “so call him maybe!” i called it, and it was a google voice number with a computer voice spelling out an email. i emailed it and it gave me the password to the email account that emailed me. i logged onto that, and there was an email telling me to check my real mail box. so i went outside and checked it, and there was this note with a poem saying that an anon would tell me what to do next, and a tumblr logo on the back. so we went back inside and waited for a tumblr message. tumblr was misbehaving, so anna texted her “source” and i got another message in my real email with a tinyurl to a let-me-google-this-for-you link and an address. it was about a block away, so we walked over there. when we got to the address, chris and eddy came out of the house with cameras and we saw a little pool table with origami roses and daffodils spelling out “prom?” then william came out with a bouquet of real roses and asked me if i would like to go to prom with him.

and i said yes, of course. <3

The nice thing about doing things online is that there were certain points when I could keep track of her progress :P

For example, when Ellen called the phone number, it rang Chris’s phone too. Also, when she checked the unread message in the email, I saw it turn grey. Knowing that the clues were working did wonders for my sanity (worrying and whatnot). It also helps to have an inside man (or woman in this case) who could tell me when something goes wrong. :)

Also, Eddy/Chris/Anna kept filming me when I was gluing together the rose stems (transforming roses ftw!)… I’m pretty sure I’m not that entertaining when gluing…

Hehe, this was a lot of fun. I can’t wait for prom :D

hehehehehe that means he could see when i had to call the phone number three times because i couldn’t understand the voice…
